Once again the Christmas Quiz was a huge success thanks to the efforts or numerous helpers. The hall was decorated beautifully and the tables welcoming and the food excellent.
The quiz questions, whilst not being easy, were not too hard and the winners were presented with prizes whilst the lowest scoring team were presented with the traditional booby prize of beautifully crafted wooden spoons – made by you know who! If fact there was a rumour that the booby prizes are more sought after than the winners’ prizes!
At the end of the evening the raffle was drawn and prizes presented.
Our thanks once again go to the band of volunteers who helped in making the event a success and at the close of an evening of enjoyment and companionship there were numerous volunteers, drawn from the attendees, to help clear away.
