On 12th March the Gardening Club had an excellent talk on Hardy Perennials from Rosy Hardy (of Hardy’s Plants).  Rosy has got many gold awards from Chelsea and Hampton Court flower show so she really knows her stuff but is also very good at getting it across. She talked about the challenges of preparing plants for a show to get them in tip top condition, whatever the weather.  She demonstrated with plants that had been brought on in the greenhouse and compared them with the actual plant as it would look like now if it were in your garden.  There were lots of plants for sale that were quickly snapped up. Rosy and her husband had a real rapport with members and were chatting away long after their formal talk.

Rosy Hardy receives the applause of the Gardening Club.
