NGS Gardens Trip – 25Th April
This will be a (potentially) full day car share trip visiting 3 National Garden Scheme gardens. We will start at 10:30 with Shamley wood estate near Guildford (35‐40min from Rowledge) where Tea/Coffee & Cake

From there we will retire to the Bricklayers Arms in Shamley green where lunch and or liquid refreshments are available. We will then travel on around 10miles to Vann which is a historic garden with parts designed by Gertrude Jekyll. Arriving at 2pm. We will have a talk by the owner about the garden and its history, before heading off to explore the 5 acre garden.

We leave Vann at around 3:30pm and then visit Tilford cottage, an Artists garden full of interest and a little quirky, a must if you haven’t been. All three of these gardens are opened especially for us by arrangement so this is a not to be missed opportunity to see them.

As the monies are going to NGS charities there will be no additional charge (above the member price) for visitors. You may join for the morning or afternoon or even visit just one garden. Costs are as follows:

Shamley Wood Estate £8 inc drink & cake
Vann Garden £8
Tilford Cottage Garden £7)
