It is with great pleasure we can confirm the plans for a trip to the Savill Gardens in Windsor Great Park. The visit will be by coach departing at 08:30 and returning to Rowledge Square around 18:00 depending on traffic.

The visit is in two parts, with a morning spent in Savill gardens, and the afternoon with a return boat trip from Runnymede with on-board cream tea. The overall timetable will be as follows:

Activity When
Travel to the Savill Building from Rowledge Square 08:30 am
Arrive at the Savill Building 09:45 am
Visit The Savill Garden (with 1 hr guided tour) 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Guided garden tour 11:00 am – 12:00 am
Depart The Savill Building 2:15 pm
Transfer (own coach) to French Brothers 2:15 pm
Arrive at French Brothers 2:30 pm
River Boat Cruise with Cream Tea 2:45 – 4:45 pm
Depart French Brothers for Rowledge 5:00pm

Savill Garden itself is wheel chair friendly and a number of manual ones available for loan. The boat trip also provides for wheel chair access by enlisting the help of brawny “matelots” to board the boat. However, for obvious reasons, this is limited to manual wheel chairs.

There are toilets, although rather cramped on the boat.

Eligibility, cost & payment
The visit is open to members and guests. The cost to members is £35.00 and £40.00 for guests. Priority will be given to members and their partners. Payment is not required immediately however your positive reply will constitute commitment and enable us to go ahead.

We are committed and limited to a maximum of 33 participants and in order to minimise financial loss to the club in the event of insufficient demand we need your replies by email to this address by the 17th May at the latest, but much earlier to be sure of a place.
